Dr. Pia L. Scott-Boston
LPC, NCC, ACS
Dr. Scott-Boston is a passionate and accomplished Counselor, Speaker, Consultant, Educator, Community Servant, and Author, committed to empowering individuals and communities through mental health, education, and advocacy. A proud two-time graduate of South Carolina State University, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling. She later earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Drexel University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Mercer University.
Dr. Scott-Boston is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in both Georgia and South Carolina, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and currently serves as Chair of the American Counseling Association of Georgia. She is the founder and Clinical Director of Think Positive Counseling & Coaching, LLC, which provides compassionate counseling services. She also leads The P. L. Scott Group, LLC, offering coaching and consulting services designed to support professional and organizational growth.
She is a passionate advocate for mental health and approaches each client with empathy and a safe space. Her expertise includes multicultural counseling, clinical supervision, career and professional development, and counselor well-being.

Dr. Laquana Richmond
LCMHC, LPC, LMHC, LCAS, CCS
Dr. Richmond is a dedicated mental health and addiction professional with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in creating healthier, more fulfilling lives. Licensed in North Carolina, Florida, and South Carolina, Laquana is known for her warm, collaborative approach and her commitment to evidence-based, culturally responsive care.
She earned her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and began her career in community mental health, where she gained extensive experience serving diverse populations navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use. She later completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership to support her work in developing training programs and curricula for future counselors. She is currently pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis to deepen her expertise in supporting individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Laquana’s integrative therapeutic style draws from CBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy—ensuring each treatment plan meets the unique needs of the individual. She is recognized for her genuine empathy, clinical intuition, and dedication to ongoing professional growth, including advanced training in autism treatment and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy.
Beyond her clinical work, Laquana has served as an adjunct professor in the Human Services Department at Central Carolina Community College and at Grand Canyon University. She provides clinical supervision to LCMHC and LCAS associates and offers professional trainings on evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use treatment.

Deidre M. Light
MA, APC, NCC
Deidre is a compassionate and dedicated Associate Professional Counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Studies, with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, from Old Dominion University, and holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Deidre takes a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy, grounded in empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard.
She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness techniques to help clients achieve meaningful and lasting growth. Her approach considers the emotional, social, physical, and spiritual dimensions of each individual, fostering a safe and collaborative space for healing and self-discovery.
Her previous roles as a Senior Center Director and Recreation Therapist allowed her to combine therapeutic principles with recreational modalities to enhance independence and improve quality of life, particularly for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Deidre’s unique blend of clinical expertise, community engagement, and therapeutic recreation underscores her commitment to empowering others and promoting holistic well-being.

Tiana is a dedicated Administrative Assistant with over three years of experience supporting counseling and coaching professionals. With a strong foundation in office management, client relations, and administrative coordination, Tiana ensures the seamless operation of the practice while creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere for clients. Tiana prioritizes efficiency and confidentiality and is proficient in appointment scheduling, maintaining confidential records, and managing client communications.
She is also skilled in billing and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations, offering vital administrative support to both clients and practitioners.
