Dr. Pia L. Scott-Boston

Dr. Pia L. Scott-Boston is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Educator, Consultant, and Speaker specializing in trauma-informed care and couples counseling. She is dedicated to helping individuals and couples heal from past experiences, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. Scott-Boston works with adults and couples experiencing the effects of childhood and relational trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, chronic stress, communication challenges, and life transitions. She helps clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and healthier relationship patterns.
In couples therapy, she supports partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, resolving conflict, and fostering deeper emotional connection. Her collaborative, attachment-based approach helps couples break unhealthy cycles and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
Using trauma-informed, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based approaches, Dr. Scott-Boston provides a safe, culturally responsive space where clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped to achieve their personal and relational goals.

Deidre M. Light
MA, APC, NCC
Deidre is a compassionate and dedicated Associate Professional Counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Studies, with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, from Old Dominion University, and holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Deidre takes a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy, grounded in empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard.
She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness techniques to help clients achieve meaningful and lasting growth. Her approach considers the emotional, social, physical, and spiritual dimensions of each individual, fostering a safe and collaborative space for healing and self-discovery.
Her previous roles as a Senior Center Director and Recreation Therapist allowed her to combine therapeutic principles with recreational modalities to enhance independence and improve quality of life, particularly for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Deidre’s unique blend of clinical expertise, community engagement, and therapeutic recreation underscores her commitment to empowering others and promoting holistic well-being.
