FAQs

What is therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative relationship between a client and therapist to address personal challenges. It focuses on enhancing well-being and alleviating discomfort. Psychotherapists use various methods based on their training, including conversation, behavioral strategies, or experiential techniques like art, journaling, role-playing, or movement to facilitate healing and personal growth. Therapy can occur in individual, couple, family, or group settings.

How Do I Choose the Right Therapist?

To choose the right therapist for you, you should consider your goals. Find a therapist who specializes in your specific concerns and goals. It is important to find your therapist approachable and easy to talk to. You can review our therapist’s bios online to determine what their training, education, and specialties include. Biographies provide insight into the therapist's identity and style. This can help you choose who you wish to work with.

How Long Do Sessions Typically Last?

Appointments can last from 45-60 minutes. This is the standard length of a counseling session. If you are interested in a longer session (75 minutes), please contact us regarding availability and pricing.
